THE EXECUTIONERS : YOUNGSTOWN

The Executioners hailed from Youngstown. The band consisted of ANDY GLISTA on bass , TERRY GRIMM drums , DICK STRONEY keyboards, ED WASACZ lead guitar, RICHARD YEAGER sax & vocals and ROGER LEWIS guitar. They released four 45s, this being their final in 1966 and on the nationally distrubuted SWAN label. I originally posted this earlier on my other site but decided to add it here after diggin' up more info on the band.

I still have The Executioners 45, Don't Put Me On". One member of the Band taught me how to play the guitar. I asked if they would all sign that 45 and they did. It's great to see a part of the Internet devoted to them.

Weren't some of these guys in the "Grains of Sand"? Roger Lewis, Dick Stroney and Dick Yeager?
These guys made some music at Geneva-On-The-Lake around '67-'68 and had a bunch of followers from the area. We loved 'em!
    Where are they now?

Not sure where they are now...but my research showed that The Grains of Sand may have been from the Pittsburgh area. No mention of band members though. Thanks for stoppin' by!
