The KICK -OFF !!!!

Ever since I was a young-in growing up in Ohio, I always had an interest in music. Started off of course with The Beatles, The Monkees, Johnny Cash, Three Dog Night....graduated to harder stuff in the '70s BUT my first live concert I attended was a hometown band (more on them later!). From that point on, I have always had an interest in the many bands & artists that called Ohio their home. Over the years, through my ongoing hunt, I have collected alot of material of different music styles. This site will serve as a playground for the ears of those....also interested.

ENJOY!!!

I was in a Portsmouth band called Something New (after The Beatles album). We then changed our name to Canterfield Canoe (like Jefferson Airplane). I then had a power trio called Child. The Cobras (my brother's band)/Something New/Child won a total of 5 River Days Battle of the Bands from '65-'69. Proud moments that seem like a lifetime ago . . . . oh wait . . . . they were.
