JIMMY SPELLMAN : NEWARK

Jimmy Spellman was an Ohio born native circa 1938. He did some talent shows while very young in the Newark area. Moved to Phoenix in 1947, then returned to Ohio for a while. When he finally settled back in Phoenix, he was the first artist to be released on the new VIV label started by the legendary Lee Hazelwood. He would move on to several other labels, but had no major hits. The late Al Casey lends his guitar talents here as he did with several VIV releases.
