THE HI FI'S : AKRON

I was searchin' the web for another band named The Hi Fi's from the '50s & stumbled across this short lived band. Check out their web site HERE The photo shows them performaning at John Teagle's wedding in 1993...yet another great Akron musician/author I have seen countless times while he was in The Walking Clampetts.

THE CAPS : AKRON

This is the first single from The Caps. Released in 1959 on the WHITE STAR label. The band would release three other 45s. Members included Ray Salmons (aka, Raymond Howard), Bob Leib, Al Parsons, and Jack Ferrel. All were members of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) from which they chose their name!

THE PRETENDERS : AKRON

Okay, so not all members of The Pretenders hail from Ohio, but Chrissie Hynde sure put it on the map in the '80s. There is alot of info out there on the band so...search away. I was lucky enough to see the original line-up with James Honeyman Scott & Pete Fardon.
