THE LIVIN' END : DAYTON
Here's a raw punker from '67 by The Livin' End. This one has made later appearances on several comp. LPs. I believe this was their only release. The Livin' End-You're% My WomanLabels: DAYTON
THE VACANT LOT : DAYTON
With only one mid-60's 45rpm to their name, Dayton's The Vacant Lot was host to local talent Roger Sayre. The band morphed from another which was called The X-cellents. Hopefully, I will discover something from them.... The Vacant Lot-This Little Feelin'Labels: DAYTON
OHIO PLAYERS : DAYTON
Here's the first 45rpm release, circa 1971 from the Ohio Players. A simple Google search will give you lots of info on the band...Ohio Players-PainLabels: DAYTON
THE VILLAGERS : DAYTON
Here's another gem I have little info on. The Villagers released this 45rpm in 1968. They came from the Dayton area. That's the only facts I got...

THE SHILLINGS : DAYTON
What little I could dig up on this 1967 offering from The Shillings, is that it was their first of only two 45s. Anyone with more knowledge???

THE COUPLINGS : DAYTON
From 1964 comes this sleazy novelty side by The Couplings. On the small PRISM label. It's short & to the point, clocking in at 1:25. I haven't dug up much more info on it. It did make an appearance on "The Big Itch Vol. 8" compilation LP.

THE DAGENITES : DAYTON
Though officially they were from Maryland, The Dagenites spent some time in Dayton in the mid 60s. In 1965 their first release came out. This jangle - gem on the small PIXIE label. This can be found on several comp. LPs, such as the one pictured. They would only release just one more before the end in 1966. The band was managed by Link Wray's manager and actually did some shows with Link! The band consisted of JOHN BARDI lead guitar, ROGER FALLIN drums, BRUCE KENNETT guitar and GEOFF ROBINSON bass. THE GILLIAN ROW : DAYTON
The Gillian Row were from Dayton. They never released a 45 but landed a spot on the rare LP "WONE-The Dayton Scene" released in 1966. It was a battle of the bands style compilation. Their version of Them's "Gloria" is a bit rougher with a '60s punk sense.
They would later get exposure on Vol. 9 of "The Highs in the Mid Sixties" comp. LP released in I believe the 1980s. They can be seen on the cover.
